TestWorks Group has built a number of breakout boxes which are used to aid development and diagnosis of customer products. The breakout box sits between the customers’ unit under test (UUT) and their test equipment, and allows every conductor in the interconnecting cable harness to be easily probed and isolated by use of a socket and shorting link panel. Additional instrumentation was also required to be incorporated, such as a DMM and power supply. In another variant, the link panel was replaced by five ‘slave’ trays, allowing multiple UUTs to be powered and tested simultaneously.
